The PARKER 149F-3-2 is a 45-degree flared tube male elbow fitting machined from brass. It connects a 3/16-inch OD flared tube to a male NPTF threaded port, creating a leak-resistant right-angle transition in fluid or gas lines. The flare end conforms to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards, and the male threaded end uses a 1/8-27 NPTF thread form for pressure-tight metal-to-metal sealing. Rated to 1900 psi working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this fitting is suited for hydraulic, refrigeration, and pneumatic lines where directional routing changes are required. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial applications where a tube line must change direction and terminate at a threaded port. Typical installations include refrigerant line sets, fuel lines, pneumatic control tubing, and hydraulic circuits. The 45-degree elbow geometry helps reduce flow turbulence and allows routing in tight equipment cabinets or panel enclosures where a straight fitting would not clear adjacent components. It ships as a single piece and is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/16-inch OD flared tubing with 1/8-27 NPTF threaded ports in refrigeration, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel line applications.
Power down or de-energize the system and relieve all line pressure before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to the correct 45-degree angle using a calibrated flaring tool before seating the fitting. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself; avoid over-tightening, which can crack brass fittings. Follow applicable SAE, UL, and local mechanical code requirements for the specific fluid or gas being handled.
