The PARKER 145F-8-8 is a brass male branch tee fitting designed for flared tube connections in compressed air, refrigeration, fuel, and hydraulic plumbing systems. It accepts 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing on the flare ends and connects to threaded ports via a 1/2-14 NPTF male thread. The 45-degree flare angle conforms to standard SAE flare specifications. Constructed from brass, this fitting delivers good corrosion resistance and is suited for applications requiring reliable leak-free joints at branch connection points. Licensed plumbers, HVAC-R technicians, and pipefitters install this type of fitting during system assembly or service.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC-R refrigerant piping, fuel lines, and hydraulic circuits where a branch tee with a male NPT port is required. The flare x MNPTF end configuration allows the technician to split a single fluid or gas line into two paths while simultaneously connecting to a threaded port on equipment or a manifold. It is sold and packaged individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2 inch OD 45-degree flared tubing and 1/2-14 NPTF threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC-R, fuel, or hydraulic applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC-R technician, or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. De-pressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and properly flared to 45 degrees before seating against the fitting to avoid leaks. Do not overtighten flare nuts, as brass fittings are susceptible to thread and seat damage from excess torque.
