The PARKER 145F-5-4 is a brass male branch tee fitting designed for flared tube connections in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems. It accepts 5/16-inch OD tubing on the flare ends and connects to a 1/4-18 NPTF male threaded port, allowing a branch takeoff from a main tubing run. The 45-degree flare angle conforms to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards. Use a calibrated flaring tool to produce a clean, crack-free 45-degree flare seat — a poor flare is the most common cause of leaks at this connection type. Apply thread sealant rated for the service fluid on the NPTF threads only; do not apply sealant to the flare seats.
