The PARKER 13743-16-16 is a short drop female JIC swivel 45-degree elbow hydraulic hose fitting designed for high-pressure fluid transfer applications. Built from steel, it accepts a hose with a 1-inch inside diameter (Size 16) and connects via a 1-5/16-12 threaded female JIC interface. The 45-degree elbow geometry reduces hose stress at connection points where straight fittings would create tight bends or clearance issues. It carries a maximum working pressure of 4,000 psi and is part of Parker Series 43. Licensed tradespeople and hydraulic system technicians install this fitting in industrial, mobile, and agricultural hydraulic circuits.
This fitting is suited for use in high-pressure hydraulic hose assemblies where a swivel connection and angled routing are required. Parker specifies compatibility with a broad range of hose series, making it a practical choice in new assemblies and field repair work. It is commonly used in mobile equipment, industrial machinery, and heavy-duty hydraulic systems where consistent sealing at the JIC interface is critical. The swivel design allows final hose positioning without twisting the hose body during assembly.
Specified for use with Parker hose series 187 TC/ST, 302, 304, 387 TC/ST, 422, 424, 426, 436, 471TC, 471ST, 472TC, 482TC, 482ST, 487 TC/ST, 722 TC/ST, 787 TC/ST, 797 TC/ST, and 881 hoses.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and fully isolate the hydraulic system before disconnecting or assembling any fittings. The swivel feature allows the hose to be positioned after the fitting is torqued — do not use hose twist to compensate for misalignment. Follow applicable industry standards and equipment manufacturer specifications for assembly and torque procedures.
