The PARKER 12SC12-B is a compression tube union designed to join two lengths of tubing with matching outside diameters using compression-style end connections on both sides. Constructed from brass, this union provides a leak-resistant mechanical seal without soldering or welding. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1900 psi, making it suitable for demanding fluid and gas distribution lines in HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this fitting when a reliable, field-serviceable tube connection is required in a pressurized system.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial applications where copper or compatible tubing with a 3/4 inch outside diameter must be connected inline. Common install scenarios include refrigeration line connections, instrumentation tubing runs, and hydraulic or pneumatic distribution circuits that require a removable union joint. The compression design allows the fitting to be assembled and disassembled with standard hand tools without damaging the tubing ends.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression union for systems using 3/4 inch outside diameter tubing with compression-style fittings. Cross-reference: Swagelok part number B-1210-6.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Use two wrenches when tightening to prevent tubing rotation and avoid over-tightening, which can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. Verify that tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and fully seated before applying torque.
