The PARKER 12MSC8N-B is a brass compression tube connector designed to join a compression tube end to a male NPT threaded port. It provides a secure, leak-resistant mechanical connection without the need for soldering or brazing. The fitting is rated to a maximum working pressure of 1900 psi, making it suitable for demanding fluid and gas line applications. Constructed from brass, it offers good corrosion resistance in a wide range of service environments. The 1/2 inch thread size accommodates standard compression tube connections on one end and a male NPT thread on the other. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters install this type of fitting in both new construction and service work.
This compression-to-MNPT connector is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant lines, instrumentation tubing, and pneumatic or hydraulic systems where a tube-to-pipe thread transition is needed. It is appropriate for installations requiring a reusable, tool-assisted mechanical fitting rather than a permanent brazed joint. The connector is sold individually and is compatible with standard compression tube assemblies at the 1/2 inch thread size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 1/2 inch compression to male NPT threaded connection. The Swagelok equivalent reference is B-1210-1-8.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians. Shut off the supply line and relieve all system pressure before disassembly or installation. Use appropriate tube preparation tools to ensure a clean, square cut on the compression tube end before inserting into the fitting. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines and manufacturer torque recommendations for compression fittings; do not over-tighten, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
