The PARKER 12MSC6N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to male NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas piping systems. It features a compression end on one side and a male NPT thread on the other, providing a reliable, leak-resistant connection without welding or soldering. Rated to 5800 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles extreme temperature ranges from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, making it well suited for demanding industrial, instrumentation, and process piping applications. The 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in aggressive media. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting in both high-pressure and high-temperature service.
This connector is used wherever compression tubing must transition to a male NPT threaded connection. Typical applications include hydraulic and pneumatic instrumentation lines, chemical process piping, cryogenic systems, and high-temperature steam or gas service. Its wide temperature range makes it a reliable choice for both cryogenic and elevated-temperature installations. It is appropriate for residential, commercial, and industrial settings where NPT-standard threaded fittings are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-MNPT connector for use in systems specifying 3/8-18 NPT threaded fittings with compression tube connections in stainless steel construction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembly or installation. Do not over-torque the compression nut, as stainless fittings are sensitive to galling; use appropriate anti-seize practices per the fitting manufacturer's assembly instructions. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for process and pressure piping systems.
