The PARKER 125HBLSV-8-8 is a brass male connector barbed hose fitting designed to create a secure, leak-resistant transition between a flexible hose and a threaded pipe or port. It features a hose barb end sized for 1/2-inch inside diameter hose and a 1/2-inch NPT male swivel thread on the opposite end. Constructed from brass, this fitting handles a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 160 degrees F, making it suitable for a variety of fluid-transfer and low-pressure plumbing applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial systems.
This fitting is used in applications where a flexible hose must connect to a fixed threaded port or pipe fitting. Typical scenarios include water supply lines, cooling system connections, condensate and drain lines, and general-purpose fluid transfer in mechanical rooms or equipment skids. The male swivel NPT configuration allows the installer to make the threaded connection without twisting the hose, reducing installation stress on the hose assembly. The barbed end grips the hose interior for a positive mechanical lock, typically secured with a hose clamp.
Designed as a standard-style replacement or new-installation male connector for flexible hoses with a 1/2-inch inside diameter requiring a 1/2-inch NPT male threaded end connection.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified mechanical technicians. Shut off and depressurize the fluid system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads per applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements before making up the threaded joint. Secure the hose on the barb end with an appropriately rated hose clamp; do not exceed the fitting's rated working temperature of 160 degrees F in service.
