The PARKER 125HB-3-4 is a brass barbed hose fitting configured as a male connector, designed to join flexible hose to a threaded port in fluid-handling systems. It features a 1/4 inch NPT male thread on one end and a 0.227 inch hose barb on the other, accepting hose with a 3/16 inch inside diameter. Rated for service from -40 degrees F to 160 degrees F, this fitting suits low-pressure liquid and air lines found in HVAC, refrigeration, and light industrial applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians commonly install this type of fitting where a hose-to-pipe transition is required.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications involving flexible tubing routed to NPT-threaded ports on equipment such as condensate drain assemblies, pneumatic controls, and fluid-transfer lines. The brass construction provides good corrosion resistance in contact with water, air, and common refrigeration-side fluids. The 0.5625 inch hex head allows installation and removal with standard open-end or adjustable wrenches. It is sold individually and is intended for single-use assembly in new installations or direct replacement of a like-size fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 1/4 inch NPT male to 3/16 inch ID hose barb transition in threaded fluid or air line assemblies.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines for threaded fittings. Shut off the fluid supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the NPT threads per local code requirements before torquing. Push the hose fully onto the barb and secure with an appropriate clamp to prevent pull-off under pressure.
