The PARKER 12 SBU-S is a flareless bite-type tube male branch tee designed for hydraulic and fluid system plumbing where a branch connection must be made without flaring the tubing. The fitting uses a bite-type ferrule design that grips the tube OD directly, eliminating the need for pre-flaring during assembly. With a 3/4 inch NPTF male thread and a 3/4 inch tube OD configuration, this tee creates a three-way branch split while maintaining a sealed male pipe connection. Plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of fitting in medium- to high-pressure fluid lines.
This fitting is suited for industrial, commercial, and mobile equipment fluid systems where flareless tube connections are specified. The NPTF thread form provides a dry-seal thread engagement that does not rely solely on a sealant to prevent leakage, making it appropriate for fuel, hydraulic fluid, air, and similar service lines. It is typically used in instrument tubing runs, hydraulic manifolds, or pneumatic circuits where a tee branch off a main line run is required.
Designed as an OEM-style flareless bite-type tube fitting for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems requiring 3/4 inch NPTF male pipe connections with 3/4 inch OD tube ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or plumber familiar with bite-type tube fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the fluid system completely before removing any existing fittings or installing new ones. Follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended number of turns past finger-tight for NPTF thread engagement and the specified ferrule make-up procedure for the tube connection. Do not over-torque the tube nut, as over-compression of the ferrule can damage the tube or reduce joint integrity.
