The PARKER 12-8 CBZ-SS is a compression tube male elbow fitting manufactured in stainless steel, designed to create a 90-degree directional change in tubing runs with a leak-free mechanical seal. It connects 3/4-inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end to a male NPT threaded port on the opposite end. Rated to 5800 psi, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and gas service applications where corrosion resistance and high-pressure integrity are required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC/R technicians install this type of fitting in instrumentation, refrigeration, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems where rigid tubing meets threaded pipe connections.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial installations where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or sanitary requirements. Typical applications include instrumentation lines, compressed air distribution, hydraulic control circuits, chemical process tubing, and HVAC refrigerant or fluid piping. The compression-by-MNPT configuration is commonly used where a tube line terminates into a threaded valve, manifold, or equipment port. Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 3/4-inch outside diameter tubing systems terminating at a male NPT threaded connection, following NPT thread standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC/R technician in accordance with applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 where required. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before seating in the compression fitting to achieve a proper seal. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the pressure seal.
