The PARKER 12-10 HBZ-SS is a stainless steel compression tube union designed to join two tubing runs with mismatched outside diameters. It accepts a 3/4-inch tube on one end and a 5/8-inch tube on the other, creating a secure, leak-resistant connection without welding or soldering. Rated to 5800 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is built for high-pressure fluid and gas line applications. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion, making it well suited for aggressive media, outdoor environments, and sanitary systems. This compression union is used in residential and commercial plumbing, hydraulic instrumentation lines, pneumatic tubing systems, and process piping where a reliable, reusable mechanical connection between two different tube sizes is required. The compression-by-compression end configuration means no special tooling is needed to make the joint — tube prep and proper ferrule seating are the primary installation considerations. It is appropriate for use with compatible stainless steel or hard copper tubing in both above-ground and concealed installations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression union for use with 3/4-inch and 5/8-inch outside diameter tubing in plumbing, hydraulic, and instrumentation piping systems where a stainless steel compression fitting is specified.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and ASME B31 piping code requirements for the system pressure and media involved. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and free of surface damage before inserting into the fitting body, as surface defects will prevent the ferrule from seating correctly. Do not overtighten the compression nut — follow the fitting manufacturer's turn-past-finger-tight specification to avoid deforming the ferrule.
