The PARKER 10MSEL8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 5/8-inch OD tubing to a 1/2-14 NPT male threaded port at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, it is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6100 psi and a temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding process, instrumentation, and industrial fluid or gas systems. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting where a direction change is required between a compression tube run and an NPT-threaded component.
This fitting is used in high-pressure instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems, chemical process piping, and cryogenic applications where stainless steel construction and broad temperature tolerance are required. The compression end eliminates the need for soldering or welding at the tube connection, allowing for field installation and future disassembly. It is suited for both commercial and industrial environments where NPT-threaded ports are standard on valves, gauges, manifolds, and other inline components.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 5/8-inch OD tubing terminated to 1/2-14 NPT male threaded ports in industrial, process, and instrumentation piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly and applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then use a wrench to advance the nut the appropriate number of turns per Parker compression fitting instructions without over-tightening, which can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal. Apply thread sealant compatible with the process media to the NPT threads before making up the male connection.
