Inspect flare seats on both the fitting and the mating tube ends for nicks or deformation before assembly, as surface defects can compromise the seal at high pressure. Torque to the fitting manufacturer specification for the tube OD and material — do not over-torque swivel nuts, as this can damage the flare seat.
