The PARKER 10 ELO-S is a steel compression tube union with O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) end connections, designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system applications. It joins two tube lines of 5/8 inch outside diameter using Unified National Fine (UNF) thread geometry, with a rated maximum working pressure of 6000 psi. The ORFS interface provides a leak-free metal-to-metal face seal backed by an elastomeric O-ring, making it well suited for systems where vibration, pressure spikes, or fluid compatibility demand a reliable, positive seal. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians typically install this fitting during new construction or repair work on mobile equipment, industrial machinery, and fluid power circuits.
This union fitting is used in hydraulic and high-pressure fluid transfer lines where two tube ends must be joined in-line. The ORFS design is common in mobile hydraulics, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, and industrial fluid power systems. It is appropriate for both new installations and replacement of existing union fittings in pressurized steel tube assemblies. The 5/8 inch outside diameter tube size and 6000 psi working pressure rating make it suitable for demanding medium- to high-pressure circuits found in commercial and industrial environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for steel tube assemblies using 5/8 inch outside diameter tubing with O-Ring Face Seal ORFS end connections and UNF threading in hydraulic and high-pressure fluid systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and isolate the fluid system completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Inspect the O-ring seating face for nicks or debris before assembly, as surface damage will compromise the seal. Torque the fitting per the system designer or equipment manufacturer specifications using appropriate hydraulic fitting wrenches; do not use pipe wrenches on ORFS fittings.
