The PARKER 1/4 MRO-S is a 1/4 inch street tee fitting designed for high-pressure industrial pipe systems. It combines a male NPTF inlet with two female NPTF ports in a tee configuration, allowing a branch connection directly off a threaded line without the need for an additional union or adapter. Rated to 5,000 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is built for demanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer applications. Weighing 0.25 pounds, it is compact enough for tight installations while maintaining the pressure integrity required in industrial service. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers.
This street tee is suited for industrial plumbing and fluid power systems where a 1/4 inch NPTF branch connection is required. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight, metal-to-metal seal without relying solely on thread sealant, making it appropriate for hydraulic circuits, compressed air lines, and high-pressure instrumentation manifolds. It conforms to SAE standard 140424, which governs NPTF pipe thread fittings for fluid power applications. Residential and light commercial plumbing applications that require lower-pressure fittings may not need this pressure rating.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for 1/4 inch NPTF threaded pipe systems rated up to 5,000 psi, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and high-pressure fluid transfer assemblies conforming to SAE 140424.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified hydraulic technician in accordance with applicable codes including IFGC and ASME B31 piping standards where relevant. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. NPTF threads are designed for a pressure-tight metal-to-metal seal; however, applying an appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid is common practice to ensure leak-free assembly. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the NPTF thread form and compromise the seal.
