The PARKER 1/2 X 1/4 GG-S is a straight reducing pipe coupling designed for high-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems. It features female-to-female FNPTF (Female National Pipe Thread Fuel) connections in a 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch reducing configuration, making it suited for joining lines of different diameters without additional adapters. Rated to 5,000 psi maximum working pressure, this coupling is manufactured from zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance in industrial service. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting in hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping systems.
This coupling is used in industrial and commercial piping applications where a straight, reducing female-threaded connection is required. It is appropriate for high-pressure hydraulic lines, compressed air systems, fuel lines, and similar fluid-power circuits. The FNPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight seal without a separate sealant when used with compatible female thread connections. Its compact straight profile allows installation in tight-clearance panel and manifold locations. This fitting is a common component in machine tool, mobile equipment, and plant maintenance environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for industrial piping systems requiring a straight reducing FNPTF female pipe coupling in 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch thread sizes.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or industrial maintenance technician in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or applicable OSHA pressure-system standards. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use an appropriately sized open-end or adjustable wrench on the 1-1/8 inch hex; do not use pipe wrenches on the hex flats. Apply thread sealant compatible with the working fluid if the system or fitting specification requires it.
