The PARKER 1/2 GG-S is a straight pipe coupling designed for high-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems in industrial, plumbing, and mechanical service applications. Built from zinc-plated steel, it provides corrosion resistance in demanding environments. The coupling features female National Pipe Taper Fuel (FNPTF) threads on both ends, sized at 1/2 inch, and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 5,000 psi. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a 1-1/8 inch hex, it accepts standard wrenches for secure installation. This fitting is suited for licensed pipefitters, plumbers, and industrial maintenance technicians working on high-pressure hydraulic or pneumatic lines.
This coupling is used in industrial piping systems where a straight, female-to-female threaded connection is required. Its high-pressure rating makes it appropriate for hydraulic fluid lines, compressed air systems, and other pressurized service lines in both commercial and industrial facilities. The FNPTF thread form is designed to create a pressure-tight seal, making it compatible with standard tapered pipe thread fittings and accessories.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-service fitting for industrial piping systems requiring 1/2 inch FNPTF straight couplings rated to 5,000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber following applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local mechanical codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads being engaged, per system fluid compatibility requirements. Use a properly sized wrench on the hex to avoid distorting the fitting body.
