The PARKER 08F23O2140A3F is a two-way piloted diaphragm solenoid valve designed for fluid control applications in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems. It features a 1/2 inch NPT port, a brass body, and an NBR seal, making it suitable for water, air, and compatible fluid service. The valve ships in a normally open (N.O.) configuration, meaning flow passes freely when the coil is de-energized and shuts off when power is applied. With a Cv factor of 4.0 and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, it handles moderate-flow applications reliably. Accepted coil voltages include 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 24/60 Vac, 120 Vdc, 120/60 to 110/50 Vac, and 240/60 to 220/50 Vac. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial service techs are the primary installers.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial systems where a normally open, piloted diaphragm design is required. Typical applications include hydronic heating circuits, water treatment systems, compressed air lines, and other fluid-control piping that requires on/off solenoid actuation. The 1/2 inch NPT connection integrates directly into standard pipe assemblies. The minimum operating pressure differential is 0 psi, allowing the valve to function even in low-differential or gravity-fed systems. Maximum fluid temperature is 150 degrees F. Note that solenoid coils are not included and must be sourced separately.
This valve carries an ASCO cross-reference number of 8210G34. It is designed as a direct-replacement piloted diaphragm solenoid valve body for systems requiring a 1/2 inch NPT normally open two-way valve. Coils are sold separately and must match the intended supply voltage.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where required. Shut off the fluid supply and de-energize the circuit before removing the existing valve or connecting the new one. Verify coil voltage matches the supply before energizing — coils are not included with this valve body. NPT threaded connections should be sealed with appropriate thread sealant compatible with the process fluid; do not overtighten brass fittings.
