The PARKER 06FS3C2340ACF is a two-way, piloted diaphragm solenoid valve designed for controlling flow in hot water and steam systems. This normally closed valve opens when the solenoid coil is energized and returns to the closed position when de-energized, providing reliable shutoff without continuous power draw. The brass body and EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) seals make it well suited for high-temperature fluid service. With an 11-watt AC coil requirement, a Cv factor of 3.0, and a maximum working pressure of 50 psi, it fits a broad range of light commercial and industrial flow-control applications. Note that solenoid coils are sold separately and are not included with this valve body.
This valve is used in hot water and steam piping systems where automated shutoff or flow control is required. The 3/8-inch NPT port size makes it appropriate for smaller-diameter pipe runs found in residential boiler systems, commercial steam distribution lines, and hydronic heating applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians typically install this valve as part of a zone control or process control assembly. The piloted diaphragm design requires a minimum operating pressure differential of 0 psi, meaning it can operate in low-differential-pressure conditions common in low-pressure steam and gravity-fed hot-water circuits.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements where steam is involved. Shut off system pressure and allow the line to cool completely before removing or installing the valve. Because the solenoid coil is not included, verify coil voltage and watt ratings match the control circuit before ordering a coil. Do not over-torque the NPT connections into the valve body; use thread sealant rated for steam service and follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended makeup turns.
