The PARAMOUNT PAR17560 is a metric hex key designed for fastener driving in tight or angled access points. Featuring a ball-end tip and a long-arm L-style body, it allows drive engagement at off-axis angles where a straight approach is not possible. The working end measures 4.00 mm across the hex flats. Overall length is 4-19/64 inches. The key is machined from steel for durability under the torque demands of trade and mechanical service work. It is a standard hand tool used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and mechanical contractors for equipment assembly, panel access, and component fastening.
This hex key is suited for metric fastener applications in residential and light commercial mechanical systems. Typical uses include tightening or loosening socket-head cap screws and set screws on HVAC equipment, pumps, valves, motors, and electrical enclosures. The long-arm design provides increased torque leverage on the short arm and easier spin-down on the long arm. The ball-end geometry allows entry at angles up to approximately 25 to 30 degrees off-axis, which is useful in confined equipment compartments where straight alignment is obstructed.
Designed for use with metric socket-head cap screws and set screws with a 4.00 mm internal hex drive. Suitable for general mechanical service applications across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial equipment.
This tool is installed by hand and requires no power source or calibration. Always verify the hex size matches the fastener before applying torque to avoid rounding the drive socket. Use the short arm for high-torque seating and the long arm for rapid thread engagement and removal. Inspect the ball-end tip periodically for wear or deformation, as a worn tip can slip and damage fastener heads.
