The PANDUIT UTPSP5MBLY is a Cat 6 copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network environments. Cat 6 patch cords carry Ethernet data at speeds up to 1 Gbps and support bandwidth up to 250 MHz, making them a standard choice for connecting network equipment to patch panels, switches, and wall jacks. This cord ships as a single unit and is installed by network technicians, low-voltage contractors, and IT professionals during initial builds and moves, adds, and changes (MAC) work.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal cabling terminations, equipment rooms, and telecommunications closets. It connects end devices such as computers, VoIP phones, and access points to patch panels or network switches. The Cat 6 specification supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T Ethernet standards, fitting structured cabling systems built to TIA-568 requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-use patch cord for Cat 6 structured cabling systems terminated with 8P8C (RJ45) connectors.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or IT cabling professionals. No tools are required for patch cord connections — simply seat the RJ45 plug firmly into the port until the locking tab clicks. Avoid sharp bends below the minimum bend radius of the cable jacket, and do not route alongside high-voltage conductors. Low-voltage cabling work may be subject to NEC Article 800 and local telecommunications cabling codes.
