The PANDUIT UTPSP4.5MBLY is a Cat 6 copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network environments. It provides a pre-terminated, ready-to-install connection between network switches, patch panels, and end devices. Cat 6 performance supports data transmission at up to 1 Gbps for standard applications and is backward compatible with Cat 5e infrastructure. The cord is finished in black, making it straightforward to manage color-coded patching schemes in organized rack and wall enclosures. It is sold as a single unit.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal and equipment bay patching in telecommunications rooms, data centers, server rooms, and office network closets. It serves as a direct connection between patch panels and active equipment such as switches and routers, or between wall jacks and workstation devices. The 4.5-meter length covers moderate runs within a rack bay or between adjacent equipment in a structured cabling system.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cord for use with Cat 6 and Cat 5e patch panels, keystone jacks, and RJ45-equipped network devices following TIA-568 structured cabling standards.
Installation is typically performed by network technicians or low-voltage cabling contractors. No tools are required for patching; simply seat the RJ45 connectors fully into the ports until the locking tab clicks. Avoid sharp bends or tight cable ties that exceed the minimum bend radius, as this can degrade Cat 6 signal performance. Follow applicable TIA-568 and local low-voltage cabling codes when building out structured cabling systems.
