The PANDUIT UTPK6A7MRD is a keyed copper patch cord rated for Category 6A structured cabling applications. The keyed RJ45 connector design restricts unauthorized port access, making it well-suited for secure network environments where port management and physical security are priorities. This patch cord carries data signals across horizontal copper runs in enterprise, data center, and commercial LAN installations. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors are the primary installers. The red jacket provides easy visual identification by zone or circuit, and the Cat6A rating supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz over the full 100-meter channel.
This patch cord is intended for use in commercial and enterprise network installations where Cat6A performance is required. It connects patch panels to switches or workstation outlets in structured cabling systems built to TIA-568 standards. The keyed connector format is designed to work with corresponding keyed port inserts, preventing standard unkeyed plugs from being inserted into secured ports. It ships as a single unit and is sold individually.
Designed for use with PANDUIT keyed port inserts and Cat6A patch panels in TIA-568-compliant structured cabling systems. Keyed connector format requires matching keyed jacks; not compatible with standard unkeyed RJ45 ports.
Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians or network infrastructure contractors. Power down or place active ports in a safe state before connecting or disconnecting patch cords in live switching environments. Follow TIA-568 and applicable local codes for structured cabling installations. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius of the cable jacket, and avoid sharp kinks that can degrade signal performance.
