The PANDUIT UTP28SP4MRD is a Category 6 copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in network environments. It provides reliable data transmission at Category 6 performance levels, supporting Gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed network protocols. This patch cord is intended for use by low-voltage cabling technicians, network installers, and IT infrastructure professionals working in commercial and enterprise settings. It connects network equipment to patch panels, switches, and wall jacks in both new installations and moves-adds-changes work.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal and equipment room cabling in commercial office, data center, and institutional environments. It is typically used to terminate structured cabling runs at patch panels or to connect end devices such as workstations, IP phones, and access points to network switch ports. The cord is sold individually, making it practical for single-port replacements or small-quantity installations alongside larger cabling projects.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cord for use with Category 6 structured cabling systems and standard 8P8C modular patch panel and wall plate ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Avoid sharp bends or kinking the cable during routing, as this can degrade Category 6 performance. Ensure patch panel and jack terminations are clean and fully seated before connecting the patch cord. No special tools are required for patch cord installation beyond standard cable management accessories.
