The PANDUIT STPK6X5MRD is a keyed copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations where port-level access control is required. The keyed connector system physically prevents unauthorized or accidental disconnection and insertion at patch panels and network switches. This patch cord is built to Cat6 performance standards, supporting the high-speed data transmission demands of modern network infrastructure. Licensed electricians, low-voltage cabling technicians, and network installers deploy this component in commercial and enterprise environments where cable management and security are primary concerns.
This patch cord is suited for use in data centers, server rooms, telecommunications closets, and commercial office network installations. The keyed design is particularly valuable in high-density patch panel environments where accidental cable pulls or unauthorized port access must be prevented. It is sold as an individual unit and is appropriate for new installations as well as retrofits where keyed security is being added to an existing Cat6 copper cabling infrastructure.
Designed as an OEM-style keyed patch cord for use with compatible PANDUIT keyed jacks and patch panels in Cat6 structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure the corresponding ports use compatible keyed jacks before deploying keyed patch cords, as standard unkeyed jacks will not accept the keyed connector. Label all patch cord runs at both ends per site documentation standards to simplify future moves, adds, and changes. Do not force connectors into incompatible ports.
