The PANDUIT STP6X40MRD is a Cat 6a shielded copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and enterprise network environments. Cat 6a cabling supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz, making this patch cord suited for high-density data centers, server rooms, and telecommunications closets. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians are the primary installers. The shielded twisted pair construction reduces alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, which is critical in dense cable tray environments where signal integrity must be maintained across long horizontal runs.
This patch cord is used in structured cabling systems where Cat 6a performance is required. Typical applications include patching between network switches and patch panels, connecting servers to top-of-rack switches, and terminating horizontal runs at work area outlets.
