The PANDUIT STP28X6MYL is a Category 6A shielded patch cable built for structured cabling installations in commercial and enterprise environments. Constructed with 28 AWG conductors, this cable delivers the bandwidth and noise rejection required for 10-Gigabit Ethernet applications. The shielded construction reduces alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, making it well suited for high-density patching environments where cable management space is limited. Licensed electricians, low-voltage technicians, and network infrastructure installers are the primary trades that work with this cable.
This patch cable is used in data centers, server rooms, telecommunications rooms, and enterprise LAN environments. The 28 AWG gauge allows for tighter bend radius and reduced bulk compared to standard 26 AWG cables, which is an advantage in congested patch panels and high-density switch ports. It is appropriate for both horizontal patch fields and equipment connections at the rack level.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment patch cable for Cat 6A shielded patch panels, keystone jacks, and RJ45 switch ports in structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure patch panel and switch ports are de-energized or ports are unplugged before connecting or disconnecting cables in live environments where static discharge is a concern. Avoid sharp bend radii that exceed the cable manufacturer minimum to maintain signal integrity. Verify shielding continuity at both ends when troubleshooting interference issues.
