Installation Notes

Aluminum compression splices are installed by licensed electricians using a calibrated compression tool rated for the connector series and conductor gauge. De-energize and lock out the circuit before any splice work, in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Apply listed antioxidant compound to aluminum conductors before insertion to prevent oxide layer buildup at the contact surface. Do not use a compression tool die set rated for copper connectors on aluminum compression splices.
