Panduit PWB4X18EZ Wire Basket 4 X 18 Inches Zinc

Product Description

The PANDUIT PWB4X18EZ is a zinc wire basket designed for cable management in commercial and industrial electrical installations. Wire baskets of this type provide an open-tray pathway for routing power, data, and control cables through buildings and facilities. The open-mesh construction promotes airflow around cables, simplifies future cable additions, and allows visual inspection without removing covers. This unit measures 4 inches in height by 18 inches in width, making it well suited for medium-to-high density cable runs. Electrical contractors and low-voltage installers are the primary trades who specify and install this type of product.

Wire baskets in this size range are commonly used in commercial office builds, data centers, industrial facilities, and institutional buildings where organized overhead or under-floor cable routing is required. The 4-inch height accommodates multiple cable layers, while the 18-inch width supports higher cable fill volumes compared to narrow-profile trays. This basket is sold individually as a single unit.

Installation Notes

Wire baskets of this type are installed by licensed electricians or low-voltage cabling contractors in accordance with NEC Article 392 requirements for cable trays. De-energize all circuits in the work area before installing or routing cables. Typical installation requires threaded rod hangers, beam clamps, or wall brackets appropriate to the mounting surface. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated cable fill capacity for the basket cross-section.
