The PANDUIT pv10-8r-d is a vinyl insulated ring terminal designed for secure, permanent wire-to-stud connections in low-voltage electrical applications. Built from electrolytic tin plated copper with a brazed seam barrel, it resists splitting during the crimp process. Internal barrel serrations grip the conductor firmly, assuring reliable wire contact and maximum tensile strength. Rated for 600 volts and up to 221 degrees F, this terminal handles the thermal and electrical demands common in panel work, control wiring, and equipment terminations. Licensed electricians and panel technicians are the primary installers. Each package contains 500 terminals.
The pv10-8r-d accepts conductors from 12 AWG minimum to 10 AWG maximum and terminates to a number 8 stud. The funnel entry barrel opening guides wire strands in cleanly, reducing mis-feeds during high-volume termination work. The yellow color coding follows standard industry practice for the 12-10 AWG range, making conductor size identification fast during installation and inspection. This terminal is suited for residential and light commercial panel boards, motor control centers, and general equipment wiring where a ring-style lug and a number 8 fastener are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style ring terminal for 12 AWG to 10 AWG conductors terminating to a number 8 stud. Fits standard insulated ring terminal crimping tools sized for the 12-10 AWG range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for wire terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a ratcheting crimping tool rated for insulated vinyl terminals in the 12-10 AWG range to achieve a full crimp. Do not use pliers or non-ratcheting tools, as an incomplete crimp will compromise tensile strength and electrical contact.
