The PANDUIT pn14-8r-m is a nylon-insulated ring terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant wire terminations in electrical and control wiring applications. Rated for conductors from 18 AWG to 14 AWG and a maximum of 600 volts, this terminal features electrolytic tin-plated copper construction for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The metal insulation grip sleeve crimps to the wire insulation, delivering strain relief and protection at the crimp joint. Internal barrel serrations bite into the conductor strands to maximize tensile strength and ensure solid contact. Licensed electricians and control panel builders install these terminals as part of compliant wiring assemblies.
This ring terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring panels, control cabinets, motor connections, and equipment grounding points where a No. 8 stud fastener is used. The blue color coding identifies the 18-14 AWG wire range at a glance, speeding up installation in multi-gauge termination work. The nylon insulation sleeve withstands temperatures up to 221 degrees F, making these terminals appropriate for use near heat-generating components found in HVAC equipment, industrial controls, and panel boards. Each package contains 1000 terminals for production or service-volume use.
Designed for use with 18 AWG to 14 AWG copper conductors terminating to No. 8 stud hardware in standard ring-lug applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician following applicable NEC requirements for terminal and connector use. De-energize and lock out the circuit before crimping or connecting any terminal. Use a ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated ring terminals to achieve the proper crimp and full engagement of the barrel serrations and insulation grip sleeve. Do not over-strip the conductor; proper strip length ensures the insulation grip sleeve seats correctly against the wire jacket.
