The PANDUIT LCD4/0-38DH-X is a two-hole copper compression lug designed for terminating large-gauge conductors in electrical distribution and grounding applications. Copper construction provides reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance at the termination point. The compression-style design requires a compatible crimping tool to create a secure, gas-tight connection between the conductor and the mounting surface. This type of lug is commonly installed by licensed electricians working on service entrance equipment, switchgear, panelboards, and bus connections where a mechanically sound, low-resistance termination is required.
Two-hole copper compression lugs are used in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations wherever 4/0 AWG conductors must be landed on equipment with dual-bolt mounting pads. The two-hole configuration distributes mechanical load across two fastener points, reducing the risk of rotation or loosening at the lug-to-equipment interface. Typical applications include service entrance terminations, feeder connections at distribution panels, grounding electrode conductor terminations, and transformer secondary connections.
Designed as an OEM-style copper compression lug for use with 4/0 AWG conductors on dual-hole equipment mounting pads in standard electrical termination applications.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use only a calibrated compression crimping tool rated for the conductor size and lug type to ensure a proper gas-tight crimp. Verify that fastener torque at the mounting pad meets equipment manufacturer specifications.
