The PANDUIT LCCX4-38D-L is a copper compression lug designed for making secure, low-resistance electrical terminations in power distribution and grounding applications. The two-hole mounting configuration provides a stable, vibration-resistant connection at the termination point, distributing mechanical stress across two fasteners rather than one. This style of lug is compressed onto a conductor using a compatible crimping tool, creating a cold-weld bond between the lug barrel and the wire. Electricians and electrical contractors typically install this type of hardware in panel boards, switchgear, bus bar terminations, and similar high-current connection points.
This two-hole copper compression lug is suited for commercial and industrial electrical work where a secure, code-compliant termination is required. It is commonly specified in applications involving large conductor sizes where single-hole lugs would introduce unacceptable mechanical stress or movement at the connection. The two-hole design is frequently used on bus bars, transformer terminals, and large equipment grounding conductors.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any termination work. Use only a compatible compression crimping tool rated for the conductor size and lug series to achieve a proper crimp. Do not use open-barrel or mechanical connectors in place of the compression crimp, as this can result in a non-code-compliant connection.
