This two-hole lug uses a compression-style installation to create a gas-tight mechanical connection, reducing the risk of corrosion and connection failure over time. It is used by licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on power distribution panels, grounding systems, and heavy-gauge conductor terminations where a reliable, code-compliant connection is required.
This lug is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where two-hole mounting provides added mechanical stability at the termination point. It is typically installed on bus bars, switchgear, panelboards, and similar equipment requiring a solid conductor-to-equipment bond. A calibrated compression tool appropriate for the conductor size and lug style must be used to achieve a proper gas-tight crimp. Do not attempt to install with hand tools not rated for compression lugs, as an improper crimp can result in overheating or connection failure.
