The PANDUIT LCB400-38-6 is a copper compression lug designed for making secure, low-resistance electrical terminations. Compression lugs of this type are used to terminate large-gauge conductors at equipment terminals, bus bars, and distribution panels. The single-hole mounting configuration allows the lug to be bolted directly to a terminal pad or equipment stud. Installation is performed by licensed electricians working on power distribution, switchgear, or service entrance applications. The copper construction provides excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance suited to demanding electrical environments.
This compression lug is typical of lugs used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where reliable conductor terminations are required. It is suited for use on switchboards, panelboards, transformers, and similar power distribution equipment. The single-hole barrel design simplifies alignment and bolting during installation and is common in both new construction and retrofit work.
Designed as an OEM-style compression termination lug for use in commercial and industrial power distribution applications requiring a single-hole mounting configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing any compression lug. Use a calibrated hydraulic or ratchet compression tool sized for the lug and conductor to achieve a proper crimp. Do not over-crimp or use an undersized die, as this can damage the barrel and compromise the connection.
