The PANDUIT HSTTV25-48-Q is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing rated to the UL VW-1 flame resistance standard. Designed for electrical insulation, wire bundling, and strain relief, this tubing shrinks down over conductors and connections when heat is applied, creating a tight, protective sleeve. It is sold as a single piece per unit. Electricians and wire harness technicians install this tubing on splices, terminals, and exposed conductors where a low-profile, flame-retardant sleeve is required.
This thin-wall heat shrink tubing is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. Its VW-1 flame rating makes it appropriate for applications where flame resistance is specified by code or design requirement. Typical uses include termination protection on control wiring, panel wiring, and instrumentation leads.
Designed as a standard thin-wall heat shrink sleeve for use on wire terminations, splices, and conductor bundles where a 0.25-inch recovered diameter or comparable pre-shrink fit is required.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified wire harness technicians. Power down and de-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any live conductor or termination. Use a calibrated heat gun and apply heat evenly along the length of the tubing to ensure uniform shrinkage without scorching. Follow NEC guidelines for insulation requirements at terminations and splices.
