The PANDUIT HSTTT47-48-Q is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing made from TFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) material, sized for 0 AWG conductors. TFE tubing is specified in demanding electrical and industrial applications where standard polyolefin tubing falls short. It provides electrical insulation, mechanical protection, and resistance to chemicals, solvents, and high operating temperatures. Electricians and wire harness technicians install this tubing over wire terminations, splices, and conductor ends where a durable, low-profile sleeve is required. The thin-wall construction keeps overall diameter minimal while maintaining dielectric protection.
This tubing is suited for commercial and industrial wiring applications where 0 AWG conductors require insulation or bundling protection. Typical install scenarios include panel wiring, bus bar insulation, large-gauge termination sleeves, and wire harness fabrication. The TFE material makes it appropriate for environments with exposure to oils, fuels, or elevated temperatures where standard heat shrink materials would degrade.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for 0 AWG conductor terminations and splices in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified wire harness technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying tubing to any conductor or termination. A heat gun calibrated for TFE shrink temperatures is required — do not use an open flame, as TFE requires controlled, even heat application. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for conductor insulation and termination requirements.
