The PANDUIT HSTTT43-48-Q is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing constructed from TFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) material, sized for 2 AWG conductors. Heat shrink tubing of this type is used to provide electrical insulation, environmental protection, and mechanical strain relief over wire terminations, splices, and connector backshells. TFE-based tubing is specified when high-temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and low friction properties are required. Electricians and instrumentation technicians install this product in industrial, commercial, and specialty electrical applications where standard polyolefin tubing does not meet environmental or thermal demands.
This tubing is appropriate for 2 AWG wire in applications requiring a thin-wall profile. Thin-wall construction allows for lower recovered bulk over terminations while still providing dielectric protection. Typical install scenarios include panel wiring, wire harness fabrication, conduit terminations, and high-temperature raceway environments. It is sold per individual piece as indicated by the unit of measure.
Designed as a thin-wall TFE heat shrink sleeve for use with 2 AWG conductors in industrial and commercial electrical wiring applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified instrumentation technicians. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or termination. Apply heat evenly using an appropriate heat gun; avoid open flame to prevent uneven shrinkage or damage to the tubing or adjacent insulation. Work should comply with applicable NEC requirements for conductor insulation and termination methods.
