The PANDUIT HSTTT37-48-Q is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing made from TFE (tetrafluoroethylene) material, sized for use with 4 AWG conductors. TFE-based heat shrink offers excellent chemical resistance, high-temperature performance, and reliable electrical insulation in demanding environments. This tubing is used to protect wire terminations, splices, and exposed conductors from abrasion, moisture, and contaminants. Electricians and instrumentation technicians install it wherever a low-profile, chemically resistant sleeve is required on copper or stranded wire assemblies.
This product is suited for industrial, commercial, and panel wiring applications where standard polyolefin tubing does not meet temperature or chemical resistance requirements. TFE heat shrink is commonly specified in aerospace, process control, and heavy industrial environments. It is appropriate for use on 4 AWG wire in both new installation and maintenance or repair work where conductor insulation integrity must be restored or reinforced.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeving solution for 4 AWG wire and cable assemblies requiring thin-wall TFE tubing in electrical and instrumentation installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified instrumentation technicians. De-energize all circuits and verify the conductor is isolated before applying heat shrink tubing. Use a calibrated heat gun to apply uniform heat along the tubing length, working from one end to the other to prevent air pockets. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for conductor insulation and termination requirements.
