The PANDUIT HSTT12-48-Q4 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing designed for wire insulation, bundling, and strain relief in electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. With a recovered diameter of 0.12 inches (3.2 mm), this tubing provides a clean, form-fitting seal over conductors, terminals, and splices. Thin-wall construction allows for a lower profile after shrinking, making it well suited for tight conduit runs and compact enclosures. Licensed electricians and low-voltage installers are the primary users. The tubing ships in a quantity of one piece per unit of measure.
This heat shrink tubing is used in residential and commercial electrical work, panel wiring, instrumentation, and control wiring. It is appropriate anywhere a compact insulating sleeve is needed over a conductor or connection point. Typical applications include protecting solder joints, insulating butt connectors, and providing color-coded identification on bundled wire runs. The 0.12-inch diameter suits smaller-gauge wire terminations commonly found in control circuits and low-voltage systems.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for use on small-gauge conductors and terminals where a 0.12-inch recovered diameter is required.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified low-voltage technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying tubing over any live conductor or termination. Apply heat evenly with a heat gun, working from the center outward to avoid air pockets or uneven shrinkage. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation and conductor protection requirements.
