The PANDUIT FZTYP5EL2SAM100 is a pre-terminated 12-fiber multimode trunk cable designed for structured cabling and data center interconnect applications. Built on OM3 50-micron laser-optimized multimode fiber, it terminates with an MPO female connector on one end and LC duplex connectors on the other, making it a standard MTP-to-LC breakout trunk assembly. The OFNP (plenum-rated) jacket allows installation in air-handling spaces in compliance with NEC plenum pathway requirements. This cable assembly is typically installed by low-voltage technicians, network infrastructure contractors, and data center cabling professionals.
This trunk assembly is suited for high-density fiber backbone runs in enterprise data centers, enterprise LAN backbones, and structured cabling horizontal or vertical distribution systems. The MPO female to LC duplex configuration supports 10G and 40G parallel optic applications where breakout to individual LC-interfaced switches or patch panels is required. The plenum-rated jacket meets installation requirements in raised-floor and above-ceiling air-handling environments without requiring conduit in qualifying spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style pre-terminated trunk assembly for use with MPO-based fiber cassette modules, patch panels, and LC-interfaced switches or transceivers in OM3 multimode structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or fiber optic technician familiar with NEC Article 770 fiber optic cabling requirements. Inspect and clean all MPO and LC connectors before mating to prevent insertion loss from contamination. Observe the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing and avoid kinking or pinching the assembly. Power down or place active ports in a safe state before handling connected fiber equipment.
