The PANDUIT FZ2ELQ1Q1SNM2.5 is an OM4 multimode duplex fiber optic patch cable designed for high-density structured cabling environments. Built with a 1.6mm cordage diameter and a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket, this cable is suited for installations where fire safety and indoor air quality compliance are required. The pushpull connector design allows for easy insertion and extraction in tight, populated panels without the need for additional tools. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians typically install this type of patch cable in data centers, telecom rooms, and equipment closets.
This patch cable is used in horizontal and backbone fiber runs within commercial and enterprise network infrastructure. The OM4 designation supports high-bandwidth applications including 10G, 40G, and 100G Ethernet over multimode fiber at appropriate distances. The LSZH jacket makes it appropriate for use in plenum-adjacent or enclosed spaces where halogen-free materials are specified by code or project specification. The 2.5-meter length suits rack-to-rack and panel-to-switch connections in standard equipment cabinets.
Designed as an OEM-style patch cable for use with OM4 multimode fiber optic panels, switches, and transceivers using LC-style pushpull connectors in commercial structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 fiber optic standards. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the minimum bend radius of the cordage, as this can cause signal loss or physical damage to the fiber. Power down or place active ports into a safe state before connecting or disconnecting fiber to protect both equipment and eyes from active laser sources. Route cables with proper slack management and use appropriate hook-and-loop ties rather than cable staples or zip ties overtightened against the cordage.
