The PANDUIT FXTYL5EL2SAM100 is a pre-terminated OM3 multimode 12-fiber trunk cable designed for structured cabling installations in data centers, server rooms, and high-density network environments. The cable features a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket, making it suitable for plenum and enclosed spaces where fire-safety regulations restrict halogen-based materials. One end terminates in an MPO female connector and the other in LC duplex connectors, enabling high-density fiber distribution across patch panels, switches, and active equipment. Installation is handled by licensed low-voltage or data cabling technicians.
This trunk cable is used in backbone and horizontal fiber runs within structured cabling systems. It is well suited for OM3 laser-optimized multimode networks operating at 10 Gigabit Ethernet and higher transmission speeds. Typical deployment scenarios include MDA-to-HDA runs in data center cabling infrastructure, connecting high-density MPO cassettes or panels to LC-based switch ports. The LSZH jacket meets fire safety requirements common in European and international installations as well as domestic projects where low-smoke materials are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation trunk cable for OM3 multimode structured cabling systems using MPO and LC duplex fiber infrastructure.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician familiar with fiber handling and bend-radius requirements. Power down or place active ports in a safe state before connecting or disconnecting fiber assemblies, and use appropriate fiber inspection tools to verify connector cleanliness prior to mating. Avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing to prevent attenuation or fiber damage. Follow applicable codes including ANSI/TIA-568 and local fire codes governing LSZH-jacketed cable use.
