The PANDUIT FX8RL7NUSQNM008 is an OM3 multimode 8-fiber round harness cable assembly with a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket. Harness cables of this type break out a multi-fiber trunk into individual terminated legs, allowing structured cabling installers to fan out a single round cable into discrete fiber connections at a patch panel, switch, or equipment port. The LSZH jacket rating makes this assembly suitable for installations where local codes restrict the use of PVC-jacketed cabling, such as plenum-adjacent or certain commercial building riser environments.
This harness assembly is used in horizontal or backbone fiber runs within commercial and enterprise structured cabling systems. It is designed for data center, telecommunications room, and campus LAN environments where OM3 laser-optimized 50/125 micron multimode fiber is the specified media. Installers deploying 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 40GbE, or 100GbE parallel optic applications over short to mid-range distances will find this assembly appropriate for those link budgets. Fiber splicing or field termination is not required, as the assembly arrives factory-terminated.
Designed as an OEM-style factory-terminated fiber harness assembly for use in OM3 multimode structured cabling systems requiring LSZH-jacketed round harness breakout cables.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician or registered communications distribution designer (RCDD) in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Minimum bend radius must be observed during routing to avoid degrading fiber performance. Connectors should be inspected and cleaned with an appropriate fiber optic cleaning tool before mating. De-energize or lock out all associated active equipment before handling fiber assemblies in a live rack or enclosure.
