The PANDUIT FX1BN3NNNSNM002 is a single-fiber OM3 multimode fiber optic pigtail terminated with an SC connector. Built on a 900-micron tight-buffered fiber, this pigtail is designed for splicing into fiber distribution hubs, patch panels, and enclosures where a pre-terminated end is required on one side and a fusion or mechanical splice is made on the other. It is a hardware accessory used by low-voltage technicians, structured cabling installers, and network infrastructure professionals working on multimode fiber runs in commercial or data center environments.
This pigtail is suited for OM3 multimode fiber installations operating at 850 nanometer or 1300 nanometer wavelengths, supporting high-bandwidth applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet and structured cabling backbones. It is commonly installed inside fiber splice enclosures, wall-mount boxes, and rack-mount fiber distribution units. The 900-micron buffer construction makes it appropriate for protected indoor splice tray use where the pigtail will be coiled and stored within an enclosure after splicing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for OM3 multimode fiber optic distribution systems using SC simplex connectors in indoor structured cabling enclosures.
Installation is performed by certified low-voltage or fiber optic technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. The splice end of the pigtail is fusion or mechanically spliced to the incoming fiber cable inside a protected enclosure before the SC connector is seated in the adapter panel. Avoid tight bend radii below the minimum specified for OM3 fiber to prevent insertion loss. Inspect and clean the SC connector ferrule before mating to ensure signal integrity.
