The PANDUIT FS2EPKAKANAM004 is a 2-fiber OM4+ duplex fiber optic patch cable featuring a 1.6mm diameter low-smoke, zero-halogen OFNP-rated jacket and LC keyed connectors. Designed for structured cabling installations in data centers and enterprise networks, this cable supports high-bandwidth multimode transmission. The physical contact (PC) polish on each connector minimizes back reflection and insertion loss, making it well suited for demanding optical network applications. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors are the primary installers of this type of patch cable.
This patch cable is intended for use in plenum-rated environments where OFNP jacket certification is required by fire code. It is commonly deployed in horizontal or backbone runs within data centers, server rooms, and enterprise LAN infrastructure. The OM4+ multimode classification supports high-speed applications at distances appropriate for campus and intra-building backbone segments. The keyed LC connector design helps prevent mismatched connector insertions in polarity-sensitive installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard patch cable for OM4+ multimode fiber optic systems utilizing LC keyed connector interfaces in plenum-rated structured cabling installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician or licensed network cabling contractor familiar with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Disable or power down any active optical transceivers before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cables to avoid eye hazard and equipment damage. Handle connectors carefully to avoid contamination of the fiber end face, and inspect with an appropriate fiber inspection scope before insertion. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius specified for 1.6mm duplex cable during routing.
