The PANDUIT FOLRZ06 is a 50-micron OM4 multimode fiber optic cable rated for both indoor and outdoor installation. With a 6-fiber count, this cable is built for high-bandwidth structured cabling runs that transition between interior and exterior environments without requiring a separate splice or junction point. OM4 multimode glass supports high-speed data transmission at 10 Gigabit, 40 Gigabit, and 100 Gigabit Ethernet over appropriate distances. Licensed low-voltage contractors and data network installers typically specify this type of cable for backbone and campus distribution runs.
This cable is suited for commercial and institutional network infrastructure projects where a single continuous run must pass through conduit from an outdoor plant environment into an indoor telecommunications room or data center. The indoor-outdoor rated construction eliminates the need for a transition point at the building entrance, reducing termination labor and potential points of failure. It is commonly used in enterprise campus backbones, multi-building complexes, and industrial facilities requiring ruggedized yet riser- or plenum-transition-capable fiber.
Designed as an OEM-style indoor-outdoor multimode fiber optic cable compatible with standard LC, SC, and ST connectors terminated to OM4 50-micron multimode fiber in structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage contractor or certified fiber optic technician in accordance with TIA-568 and applicable local codes. De-energize any active equipment in the pathway before pulling cable, and observe the minimum bend radius and maximum pull tension specified for the cable. Do not exceed the rated pulling tension during conduit pulls, and use appropriate cable lubricant where required. All building entrance penetrations must be sealed per applicable fire and building codes.
