The PANDUIT FODPX06Y is a 6-fiber indoor distribution-style fiber optic cable built on 50-micron OM3 multimode glass. Distribution cables of this type house multiple tight-buffered fibers inside a single jacket, allowing a single cable run to serve several termination points. The OM3 fiber grade supports high-bandwidth laser-optimized transmission, making this cable suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 40GbE, and 100GbE backbone applications over appropriate distances. It is sized and constructed for indoor use in conduit, cable trays, or riser pathways within commercial and industrial facilities.
This cable is intended for structured cabling installations in data centers, enterprise LAN backbones, server rooms, and inter-closet runs. Its indoor-rated jacket keeps it compliant with typical building code requirements for inside-plant fiber routing. Low-voltage and data cabling contractors, as well as network infrastructure technicians, are the primary installers.
