The PANDUIT FHC9N-12-03U is an HD Flex fiber optic cassette designed to transition a single MPO trunk connection into six LC duplex channels. This cassette-style module fits into high-density fiber distribution frames and panels, providing a clean, organized breakout point in structured cabling installations. It is suited for data center, enterprise, and telecommunications room environments where MPO backbone cabling terminates at a panel for distribution to active equipment. Fiber technicians and structured cabling installers work with this component during initial infrastructure builds and during moves, adds, and changes.
This cassette is used in high-density fiber optic patching environments where MPO trunk cables carry multiple fibers and must be broken out to individual LC duplex ports for connection to switches, servers, or transceivers. It is a core component in pre-terminated fiber systems and modular fiber infrastructure builds. Typical installations involve sliding the cassette into a compatible HD Flex or high-density fiber panel chassis. No field polishing or splicing is required at the cassette level.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard installation component for use in HD Flex high-density fiber optic panel chassis systems accepting MPO-to-LC duplex breakout cassettes.
Installation is performed by qualified fiber optic or structured cabling technicians. Before servicing an active panel, disable connected transceivers and install dust caps on any open fiber ports to protect end faces. Cassettes slide into compatible chassis slots and typically latch without tools. Follow TIA-568 and applicable data center cabling standards for fiber routing, bend radius, and labeling requirements.
